If this is equal to L 18, then it may have served as a levelling fill for Surf 16 (as 18 prob did); but if 19 cuts Surf 16 then it is a later fill
Stratigraphy remarks:
On same stratigraphic level as L 18, & may be equal to it; but since Surf 16 was cut & did not extend to cover 19, 19 may be a later fill; if it is equal to 18, it seals up against Wall 8, as 18 does, & prob up to Wall 5 also (Wall 5's E extension); see p 2 of L 18 for other stratigraphic possibilities
