Remarks:

Especially ashy corner at the southeastern corner. After looking in the balk, we noticed a change in color and consistency which may indicate that we have missed a surface, or at least something else of note. Pails have been ordered according to depth so going back and checking these things should be easy in the future when the rest of the square is excavated.
