Includes a probe in N ca .3 m deep; rest of the lower material across the square was taken up as 2 more separate loci; elsewhere surf textures were erratic; originally wider because it goes beneath Wall 2; many objects on the surface & in the accumulation debris immediately above it in the bottom parts of L 7; soil around pithos (drain?) slightly more compact; no pottery pails but established locus as bottom of Hel building
