Remarks

Remarks:

43 looks to be a destruction layer full of rocks, mud bricks, plaster, ash, and pottery. Mudbrick colors were gray, yellow, and vibrant orange. Mudbrick mortar lines visible in the Balks sloping away from wall 2. Compared with 45, which had only a few pebbles, 43 had more rocks of assorted sizes. Most of them were closer to the top of 43. Locus 44 was created because after having excavated 43 we thought there might be a need to separate the thin later under 42 from 43. The first pails from 43 (137, 138) had a few Ir bods in them, which most likely came from that thin layer, were not enough to warrant splitting the locus.
