Remarks

Remarks:

Mostly unexcavated in 2014. Only a small area N of wall 2 probed. Seems to consist of a firm mixture of reddish bricky material and plaster. A block of pure yellow clay lay next to wall 2. Depth was 0.26m next to Wall 2. U16: further exposed in a larger probe and the subsidiary balks show the thin layers of plaster above cobble surface 42 very clearly. Thickness of plaster ranges from 0.06-0.09 m
