Interpretation
Function:
Poor state of preservation of associated surfaces makes a determination of function problematic; prob constituted the external wall of a structure in 7L09; transverses entire E edge; preserved to a much greater length than the 7L09 wall; foundation stones not distinctively more massive than upper courses
Stratigraphy remarks:
Wall is sealed against by surfaces with LIR2 pottery & is later than the IR1 strata it was founded upon; no FT in 7L08; some accumulation of LIR2 in Surf 54 suggests founding at the beginning of LIR2 rather than late in EIR2; continues into N balk
