Function:
Seems to be an occupational surface in U87; but was simple earth layer in U89 (= L42); it is imposs to tell without architecture what exactly its function must have been in LIR2; this is the last occupational surface before the general distinction represented by the ash layer over nearly all of L 41

Seems to have been truncated along its E edge by L 14's erosion down the hill
