Function:
Courtyard surface for house compound E of street; stones in Loca 16, 17, 22 & 23 are too angular & loosely packed to form a useful surface--seem more like tumble (may have been disturbed); stones in Loca 18 & 24 form good cobbled surface; likely an open courtyard where livestock was kept; pebbles may have been used to fill in a low spot in the floor which was continually wet and muddy
