Interpretation

Function Compact red layer only in Loca 16 made up mostly of clay; seems to have been used to hold Installation 11 in place, in that it is found under it, over it & lenses out to the width of approximately .9 m
Stratigraphy remarks Contiguous to L 8 in that they seem to be at the same level; which was deposited first is uncertain; L 12 is directly under about 2 cm under Installation 11
