Remarks

Remarks:

Although time did not permit careful excavation of Surf 5, multiple layers were discernible during excavation; the original surface seemed to be a fairly thick deposit of white nari on a platform defined by L 7 & 11; above it were layers of ordinary clay which had been sprinkled with finely ground nari from time to time; the nari layers extended out over Walls 7 & 11
