Remarks

Remarks:

Extends from N balk to an unknown point under Wall 5; approx dimensions: 87-80 (N-S) & 30 cm wide at the highest point; in the shape of a mound & is covered by a large area of white powdery limstone (150 cm wide -- 75 cm at each side of it) there has also been small pockets of reddish yellow 5YR 6/8 material found, but not in large quantities; upon removal this was a solid chunk of hard red bricky material; traced in N balk removal; bricks encircle the tabun on the E, N, & W sides; later finds indicate they were stacked on a surface with mortar between them; compare with L 44 for bottom levels of brick material
