As L 8 was beginning to be excavated, Surf 9 was noticed in Loca 20; same as area adjacent to & appearently beneath Wall 6 from which large pottery sherds were taken; primarily the scraping necessary to trace Surf9 is in area between Walls4, 6, & 7.
