Remarks:

In the subsidiary balk left under Wall 8 there appeared to be 3 layers; it was imposs to trace these once we started digging; this reminds me of Surf 14 (and perhaps Surf 6); flakes of ashes, nari throughout the matrix; brick (?) or pottery bits also--not as pockets, but as part of the matrix; softer at Loca 35 & 28
